Order from Chaos

As you all read in my “Lost Symbol” article – I was determined to never read a Dan Brown book again!  But I caved in under the weight of my Illuminati buddy who suggested that I would learn something: and he was right – but at what tremendous cost to my delicate mental Faculties in allowing Dan Brown to assault my Sensibilities one more time…can I sue this guy for piss poor writing?

The subtitle to The Doctor’s Inn is: “An Oasis from Chaos” – a concept that floated my way as I began to organize my thoughts and energies to pursue The Doctor’s Inn – I don’t think I knew much about the Freemasons: other than my brief foray into The Secret Teachings of All Ages and the National Treasure movies (and one former patient [who was reportedly a 16th degree Freemason at-the-time]).  But when Dan Brown suggested that the Freemason mantra is “order from chaos” – I was rather stunned by the similarity to my “oasis from chaos”!

I doubt very much that I could be a Freemason (because I hate anything ORGANIZED) – but those 33 steps to becoming a 33rd degree Master are very intriguing (and that we have 33 vertebrae in our spine is way cool).  This bit of information finally enabled me to understand a contention that schizophrenia is a form of demon possession – whereby the intrusive demon lodges itself on the 14th vertebrae (is that counting from the top-to-the-bottom, or, from the-bottom-up?).  I think that allusions to Jesus Christ being 33-years-old at the time of his crucifixion are, however, a bit delusional.  Still, the number 33 bespeaks of a mystical symmetry and order…

Not that my pennings are ever meant to bring order to anything – they are simply meant to cool our minds from the desert-like rhetoric that we are constantly bombarded by in our empirical world: I just want to provide some type of relief; be the Rolaids for the distemper caused by so many thought energies that pervade our waking world…providing some form of order to anyone’s — life would be a tall order indeed!

Perhaps the Freemasons DO have IT* figured out; but if Dan Brown’s cluster-fucked meanderings have anything to suggest about Freemason figurings – The Bible sure isn’t the answer – whether there is one in the cornerstone of the Washington Monument or not.  The Scrivener (DB) completely ruled out the fact that the texts making up the New Testament were carefully culled, and, invariably – written many years after Jesus’ revolutionary movement.  And the folks who continue to look at “Revelations” as some symbolic or mystical portent of the apocalypse – seem to overlook the obvious — that it might simply be an allegorical tale of the Roman occupation of-much-of-the-world at-that-time (particularly of Judea) – and the still hoped for liberation of those oppressed by the Romans.

*The “IT,” naturally is how man (and woman) were meant to reach their ultimate potential.  And at times, Brown’s contentions about the Freemasons are rather seductive (for a White Man) – until one realizes that many of our forefathers kept slaves; raped the slave women and executed the men – not to mention killing the indigenous inhabitants of the New Rome…hardly godlike at all…and, it still seems like women are second rate beings to the Freemasons…at what price order?  Give me an oasis instead – it’s as close to heaven as most of us can get…
